  • He decided it was time to change

  • Brower knew he had to do something. For the next two years, he went from eating 10 hamburgers or two whole pizzas in one sitting, to cutting most carbs and working out for a few hours every day. At first, this consisted of lifting his arms above his head because he could barely stand up.

  • Working toward success

  • After a few months of this, he was finally able to make it to the gym. Over the course of the next 22 months, he was able to take control of his life. He became stronger, started enjoying things he couldn't before and turned to exercise for comfort instead of food. It took time, but he was able to lose 425 pounds with nothing but diet and exercise.

  • Nothing like going from a 10xl shirt to a 1xl in 23 months!!!

  • Finding love through loss (weight loss, of course)

  • One day at the gym, Andrea Masella, a woman who was also on a weight loss journey, started to notice Brower and admired his dedication to achieving a healthier lifestyle.

  • She said, "I just love that Ronnie took care of himself. He just got healthy and shed all this weight."

  • The rest is history. Masella and Brower fell deeply in love, and continued on their weight loss journeys together, losing a total of almost 600 pounds. The couple also went to counseling together to overcome their habit of eating food for comfort.

  • On May 13, 2017, they were married in Syracuse, New York and couldn't be happier.

  • Living a healthy lifestyle is important to the newlyweds, so it was perfect that they found each other when they did. They're looking forward to a long, happy and healthy life together.
