How to tell when he's just not that into you

It's time to just walk away.

  • The constant wondering of whether or not he is interested is absolute agony. We torture ourselves wondering where he stands, if he feels the same way and if there there's a future for us. As tortuous as this is (and I hate to say it) but we do it to ourselves with a seeming willingness. We can't help it....so grab the chocolate and hit "refresh" on your memory to see if what you have is true love, or realize for good that he's just not that into you.

  • 1. Is he always busy?

  • A man who is into you will always make time for you. The occasional "I'm busy" as an excuse is OK, but no matter what is going on in his life, a man who truly cares will want to share it with you. If he is always too busy and can't even spare an hour for lunch then he's just not that into you.

  • 2. Does he let you post couple's photos on social media?

  • This may seem silly, but in today's social media world it is a big deal to make your relationship Facebook official, complete with a photo of the two together. If he is hesitant to make it public, he is not that into you. A man who is interested will want the whole world to know...and will probably post the photos online himself.

  • 3. Have you met his family and friends?

  • If he keeps you out of his personal life, then he doesn't plan to keep you around for long. Things just get complicated if you develop relationships with his friends and family, so he thinks it best to just go to events alone.

  • 4. Does he spend more time with his boys than with you?

  • A guy who is into you will put you first. When given the choice between his buddies or you, he will always choose to be with his girl. An occasional boys' night out is nothing to worry about, but if he starts ditching you weekly to hang with the guys, he's probably thinking about leaving you behind.

  • 5. Does he take forever to text you back?

  • It only takes a couple of seconds to send a text, so even if he is busy he can always find time to send you a quick reply. In today's digital world (apart from a few circumstances), he should always be able to text you back within a reasonable amount of time. If not...well, you know the truth.

  • 6. Is your relationship only progressing physically?

  • If he only calls you to have someone to kiss, he is probably just lonely and not actually that into you. While this is an important part in a relationship, communication and getting to know each other should also be a part of dating. If he doesn't actually want to talk or get to know you or go on a real date, then kick him to the curb - he's not worth your time.

  • 7. Do you always initiate the conversation?

  • If you always text or call him first, drop him and run. A man who really likes you will initiate the conversation. He will text you, call you or just show up at your house because he wants to talk to you. If he really cares, he will make the effort to come to you and not wait for you to go to him.

  • 8. Are his plans with you always last-minute?

  • If he is always scheduling you in last-minute and is never willing to plan ahead, he's trying to keep his schedule open for someone else. He doesn't want to fill every weekend with you because he is hoping something or someone else might come along. A man who is super into you will initiate the plans. He will make sure his schedule is clear and full of you.

  • 9. Do you go forever without seeing or hearing from him?

  • If he is into you, then he will waste no time waiting to see you again. If he waits weeks (or even days) between meetings or phone calls, then he is obviously not that into you.

  • 10. Does he ask about your life?

  • A man who is interested in you will ask about you. He will be interested in your day, your interests, your hobbies and your life. He will want to hear the tiny details. If he never asks about your day or your life, he doesn't care very much about you in the first place.

  • If your man isn't that into you, don't sit around and try to change him; he's not worth it. If he can't see the light without you shoving it in his face, then let him go and move on. You will find someone who is truly interested and you'll finally feel what it's like to be truly loved.
