Going back to school is a double-edged sword. Some kids love it and others hate it. Some parents count down the days to freedom, while others cherish every moment of summer vacation.
It's good to get back into a schedule, but with that schedule comes homework and waking up early. On the other hand, kids get to see good friends again (and pick up everyone's germs ...) and have a break from siblings, which can actually help them get along better. It's a mixed bag of emotions.
So, whether you're counting the days until next summer or breathing a sigh of relief because school is back in session, you get to choose your attitude every day. Enjoy this time in your life, learning everything you can. And if that doesn't work right away, grab some tissues and chocolate to get you through it.
