The Jubilee Project brought 50 people into their studio to ask them one question.
"If you could change one thing about your body, what would it be?"
It was amazing to see the difference between how adults and children viewed their bodies. While the adults responded to the question with lists of quirks and blemishes they would change, the children had other things in mind. They dreamed of mermaid tales, cheetah legs and wings.
They only mentioned things they wanted to add to their bodies. The adults only mentioned things they wished to take away.
So adults, when did we become uncomfortable in our own skin? Why can't we be like little children and love the body God has given us? I think it is time we embraced our imperfections as things that make us unique and beautiful instead of viewing them as things that need to be fixed. We need to stop caring what other people think. It's time to feel comfortable in our own skin again.
