God's love for us is unconditional. He doesn't love us for what we do, or even who we are at the moment. He loves us because we are his children, and He is our father. Just as we have tender feelings for our own children, God has tender feelings for us. God recognizes our worth, and He wants us to stretch to reach our full potential.

God is not a distant concept

God is mindful of us and our needs. God is a personal being and not a distant concept. As we reach for him, he reaches for us. God's love provides us with a confident foundation that allows us to move more easily through the world. God is love.

There is no fear in the economy of God's love

The book of John in the Bible tells us there is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. The fear of failure, the fear of being inadequate, the fear of not being loved or accepted. God's love allows us to walk through our daily difficulties with faith. God's love grants us unconditional forgiveness when we fall.

How does God communicate his love to us?

We communicate with God through prayer. But how does God communicate with us? The Bible tells us the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost. It is this spirit of revelation, this still, small voice, that allows God to guide our lives and helps us meet our challenges. God's voice of love is quiet and does not thrive in an atmosphere of anger, selfishness or contempt.

God's revelation and inspiration give us wisdom

Author Henry Eyring tells us, "Continuing revelation lifts us above our own wisdom and capacity." We experience perceptions we wouldn't normally have, our minds are guided to new and unexpected insights. Often these insights come a bit at a time until an entirely new picture becomes clear. The spirit of revelation is real. It is like lighting a candle in a dark room.

God's love is steadfast and everlasting

Psalm 86:15 describes God's love as steadfast, everlasting and compassionate. God gives us his love whether we deserve it or not. God knows each of us. He loves us personally. God strengthens us in our tests and trials. God is love.
