Imagine getting pulled over. You haven't been doing anything wrong, to your knowledge, yet those red and blue lights are flashing in your rearview mirror. You pull over to the side of the road in a panic.
This happened to many people in Kansas City, Missouri. However, when the officer came to their window, instead of being ticketed they were handed $100.
Yes, you read that right — $100. How is this possible?
As it turns out, an anonymous wealthy businessman, "Secret Santa," gives out $100,000 in $100 bills to random strangers every year. This time, he decided to let the officers help spread the holiday cheer.
The officers targeted those who looked like they could use the money — people who had dented or old cars or other indications of necessity. The reactions were shock, tears and gratefulness. One single mom said that she would be able to get her kids something for Christmas because of the generosity.
"Secret Santa" had more than one agenda — he wanted the officers to feel joy. "You know, as tough as they are, they have hearts that are bigger than the world."
The officers certainly felt that as they were thanked with lots of hugs from the $100 recipients.
