  • With Halloween right around the corner, it is time to start thinking of the perfect costumes for your children. There are so many things they could be and so many different ways to create it. However, even though you may have the perfect costume, there may be a few flaws to it, including the ability to move or even simply balance in it, as the little boy in the video found out.

  • When creating the perfect Halloween costume, there are three critical elements you need to consider.

  • 1. Flexibility

  • Your child needs a costume they can easily move around in. They don't want to be slow as they walk down the street or have a hard time climbing stairs. They need to be able to move all of their main body parts easily: their hands, arms, legs, feet and head. You never know what situation they may be in where they need to move quickly and easily.

  • 2. Warmth

  • If you live some place where Halloween night may be chilly, you need a costume where you can add layers underneath, without it taking away from the overall design of the costume. You may need to add a jacket, sweats or gloves, to ensure your children stay warm while out in the cold October air.

  • 3. Ease of put on and take off

  • As a parent, one of the worst parts about Halloween is getting the kids dressed up and taking off the costume. As you create a costume for your child, think about how simple it will be for your child to put on the outfit and how easy it will be for you to clean up. Will there be an excessive amount of face paint to put on? Will you have to spend hours brushing out tangled and snarled hair?

  • You can save yourself a lot of stress by thinking beforehand as you prepare the perfect Halloween outfit for your children. Here are a few reasons why one woman chooses to make her own Halloween costumes each year.
