Win her back? Don’t lose her in the first place Tarzan. Don’t let go of her hand and she will never be lost, remember, nothing can come between you if you're holding her hand.
It’s not about swallowing your pride or eating crow, it’s about releasing your ego. E.G.O (Edging God Out) and in this case, edging your wife out. If you call yourself a man, I challenge you to rise up and squash your 1st grade ego and, “Enjoy the wife of your youth.” Proverbs 5:18
At this point you may be saying, “Well what if my wife isn’t so enjoyable?” That’s because she is living with you and your EGO. Ouch!
Below are three quick and easy action steps to bring back your amazing bride and pound your EGO into submission.
Action Step #1
Write in a dry erase pen on your mirror or set a daily alarm on your phone that reads, “What’s the one thing I can do for my bride today?” If you want a better life you need to ask better questions, your mind will automatically answer a question you give it. So give it a question that will automatically deflate your EGO by having you focus on someone else for a change. Notice the question, what is the one thing, not 10 or five or even three — just one thing.
Action Step #2
Actually take action on the one thing you can do for your bride. It can be as small as putting your socks in the hamper or washing a dish, it’s the little things that matter. Besides, she may get suspicious if you bring her five dozen roses right off the bat. Save the flowers for a few weeks into this, trust me, you will get much more, and I mean much more excitement for the roses after you consistently do some little things.
Action Step #3
Ask! Ask and you shall receive. Sit down and ask your bride, better yet, send her a text and say, “What can I do to be a better husband? AND THEN LISTEN! The reason I say text is because you probably won’t listen the first time you ask the question. You will be too defensive and too busy making excuses for your lameness — your EGO.
If you're getting a little bent out of shape by reading this — good! That means we are making progress. You see, joy is the true measure of success, and guys love striving for success, don’t we? Unfortunately many of us go after fake worldly success instead of the true success of a thriving marriage and a fantastic sex life with our brides. My bride and I remarry in a different state or country every year, I have had 16 honeymoons. Why settle for just one?
