will be getting into the fittness race real soon
well i gave up walking ect as i got really exausted from it, its not the same as i remember i think its cause i now have five children and that takes all my energy (i'm 7 months pregnant) anyhow as soon as bub is out i'll be down the gym, and i'll be letting you all know how that goes, i've never had a problem getting back into shape yet, but it has got increasingly harder with each child i've had, time energy wise ect, so as soon as bub is out and i'm up to it i'll post my progress here, eg: w...
Another week gone
Another week gone and I only managed to get out and about twice to exercise, once during the week for an hour walk and today for 50 minutes. Doesn't seem alot, but it is more than my one walk the previous week. Hoping to increase the amount again this week. Really need to get back in the pool though to start training for that Rotto swim. Must have a chat with the rest of the team to see if we are committed or not.
Where is everyone else in this group? Haven't seen anyone for a while...
2 hour walk
the pursuit of fitness began today with a 2 hour walk with a good friend and neighbour of mine. Along the river in perfect Perth conditions. You couldn't ask for better incentive to get out there and get exercising. I hope all the rest of you are keeping up with your routines.
Rottnest Swim
So next week is the beginning of some serious training for me. Although I have been saying that for the past month.
We are planning on entering the Rottnest Channel Swim again next year (Feb 17) and with 19km to cover training needs to start pronto. We have been in the pool every now and then but definitely not as committed as we were this time last year.
The plan is swimming Mon and Wed and gym on Fri mornings. Wish me luck.

Will Power
I'm trying to get in better shape, and eat healthier. Good for me. You know what my husband does? Buys a tub of chocolate moose tracks ice cream (yummy), it gets worse.... he started his night shifts. So after the girls are in bed, the hubby is at work, I swear that ice cream starts calling my name. It's not going to tonight! After coming home from a bike ride with my girls, I dumped it down the sick! Do you have the will power to have junk food in your house, and NOT eat it?
Exercise Examples
Tell me some types of exercises that you can fit into a busy schedule (usually with children watching).
Check-in, For That Extra Motivation
Would anyone be interested in having a daily exercise check-in group, where we share what we did for exercise that day? I think it would help to be held accountable for our goals. What do you think?
how i stay fit as a mum of 3 kids under 4
I am proud to say that I have just lost a bit of weight (12 kg since oct, total of 19kg since I got home from hospital) after having my 3rd baby. I am now back to my pre-kids weight. With my twins I walked with the pram everyday....twin pram and 2 kids walking up hill is damn hard work so the weight loss was easy. This time around, not so easy. Walking was near impossible- the twins are now too old for the pram but too young to walk too far or too fast. The evenings were even busie...
